The delegation of Thailand visited the National Centre for Marketing

On October 10 the director of the National Centre for Marketing Valery Sadokho and representatives of the business circles of the Kingdom of Thailand held talks at the National Centre for Marketing. The delegation was headed by the Honorary Consul of Belarus in this country Ms. Karanun Sukonritikorn.

Addressing the guests Valery Sadokho noted that Thailand’s self-sufficiency in dairy products is 44% and this opens up opportunities for Belarusian producers.

The general director of the industrial park Wyncoast Jack Chamikorn said that often Belarusian goods go to Thailand through Vietnam with which the EAEU signed a free trade agreement. Thailand is interested in buying Belarusian goods without intermediaries but high duties are a limiting factor.

Mechanical engineering and tourism were also named as promising areas for the development of bilateral relations. Belarusian tractors are highly valued in Thailand and it is also possible to bring other engineering products to the market. Cooperation in the field of tourism can help the registration of Thai travel companies on the portal Export.by where they can find partners and clients from Belarus.

Valery Sadokho invited businessmen from Thailand to visit the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus at the First China International Exhibition of Imports and Services China International Import Expo which will be held in Shanghai on November 5—10. During the exhibition it will be possible to learn more about the export potential of Belarus. The dialogue on Belarusian-Thai cooperation can be continued at the Belarusian-Chinese business forum which will be held during the exhibition.
