An edition of the journal «Market conditions» dedicated to the market of the South African countries was published
More than a third of Belarusian exports to South Africa are potash fertilizers, but the structure of supplies to the region is becoming more diverse, primarily due to the export of equipment, metal products and consumer household goods. So far, Belarus exports insignificant volumes of the most popular commodity items to South Africa, Angola and Mozambique, though Belarusian producers have opportunities to increase exports to the region.
Information about the economic situation in South Africa, Angola and Mozambique, as well as their trade relations with Belarus can be found in the new issue of the journal «Market conditions».
South Africa, Angola and Mozambique occupy the 92nd, 76th and 151th places respectively in the list of Belarusian trading partners. At the end of 2017, the total import of these countries amounted to $ 100.71 billion (0.56% of world import). Information on the main import positions of the countries of South Africa, the average cost of production and prospects for Belarusian exporters can be found in the review of the regional markets, prepared by experts of the National Centre for Marketing.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of South Africa Alexander Sidoruk noted that Belarus had achieved success in the development of agriculture and industry, which is of great interest for several African countries, and the supply of agricultural equipment to the region is a promising area of trade cooperation. The founder and Chairman of Africa Union Holdings, James Ndambo, highlighted the investment attractiveness of South Africa, the advantages of Belarusian products over Chinese and projects of Belarusian companies, which were successfully implemented in the region.
