The exchange of contacts with the participation of businessmen from the Ivanovo region of the Russian Federation took place in Minsk
On October 24 negotiations with the delegation from the Ivanovo region were held in Minsk. The delegation included representatives of the Export Support Centre of the Ivanovo Region, Digital Instrument Transformers, Ivhimprom OJSC, TextilMaster LLC and Nadezhda Factory LLC.
The event was attended by more than 30 representatives of the Belarusian companies in the metallurgical, textile and energy industries, including Minsk Automobile Plant, Belarusian Steel Works, AMKODOR holding, BELNIPIENERGOPROM, ATLANT Incorporated, Galanteya JSC, Kamvol OJSC as well as the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.
The director of the National Centre for Marketing Valery Sadokho noted in his opening speech that Russia is the most important strategic partner of Belarus and each region of this country contributes to bilateral cooperation, including the Ivanovo region. «I have no doubt that today's meeting will be another step to strengthen the Belarusian-Russian relations. In recent years there is considerable evidence that we always have promising projects for joint implementation», — Valery Sadokho added.
The head of the Russian delegation leading consultant of the Export Support Centre of the Ivanovo Region Maria Lyubimova spoke about the region's trading potential: in the first half of 2018 the region's trade turnover amounted to more than RUB 20 billion. The Ivanovo region mainly exports textiles and textile goods, products of the chemical industry and metalworking as well as wood, cellulose and consumer goods. Belarus ranks third among the regional trade partners. Maria Lyubimova invited Belarusian businessmen to pay a return visit to the region and continue discussion of promising projects.
During the meeting, the delegation members held presentations of their companies. At the B2B negotiations representatives of Belarusian and Russian companies discussed possible areas of trade and cooperation, exchanged contacts and agreed on further cooperation.
