Director of the National Centre for Marketing took part in a press conference dedicated to foreign exhibitions
The National Centre for Marketing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus took part in a press conference on the topic “Development of trade and economic cooperation of the Republic of Belarus: results and prospects of participation in the international exhibitions”, which was held on February 14 in the Press House.
Director of the National Centre for Marketing Valery Sadokho told the media about participation in business forums and exhibitions abroad as an effective way to promote Belarusian goods and services to foreign markets. The speaker noted that in 2018 the National Centre for Marketing organized eight exhibitions abroad, in which more than 150 Belarusian enterprises and organizations took part. The total area of the Belarusian expositions amounted to more than 1500 square meters.
During the National Expositions Belarusian enterprises signed contracts amounted to more than $ 150 million in 2018, $ 117 million were earned during the First China International Exhibition of Imported Goods and Services in Shanghai organized by the National Centre for Marketing.
Valery Sadokho elaborated on the prospects for 2019. The National Centre for Marketing will organize national expositions of the Republic of Belarus at the IEMA International Industrial Exhibition in Lahore (Pakistan), the International Exhibition of Food and Agriculture FOODAGRO in Nairobi (Kenya), the International Specialized Exhibition in the field of metalworking and mechanical engineering Tech Industry in Riga (Latvia), as well as the collective stands of our country at other international exhibitions.
The Director of the National Centre for Marketing highlighted the business events organized in 2018 for delegations from Italy, Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and several regions of Russia. Valery Sadokho paid special attention to the Belarus-Poland, Belarus-Vietnam and Belarus-France business forums and noted that these events, as well as the agreements concluded in their framework, helped to identify new areas of bilateral trade and contributed to improving the indicators of trade and economic cooperation between the countries.
The administration of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the UE Belinterexpo also took part in the press conference.
