National Center for Marketing attended a press conference on foreign exhibitions

On January 14, 2020, the Press House hosted a press conference on the topic “The Role of Exhibition Activities of the Republic of Belarus in Promoting the Image of a Country Abroad”. Valery Sadokho, the Head of the National Center for Marketing  informed the media about the results of work in this direction in 2019, as well as about the trends and development of the exhibition industry in foreign markets for 2020.

The speaker noted that at national exhibitions in Kenya, Pakistan, Latvia, where Belarusian enterprises took part last year, Belarusian goods were popular and in demand. Valery Sadokho also shared his opinion that in the near future Belarusian meat and dairy products can achieve great success in the markets of China and Arab countries.

The speaker also emphasized that the National Center for Marketing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus is constantly working with embassies abroad in order to monitor the demand for Belarusian goods in the markets of these countries, and accompanying participants of foreign exhibitions is comprehensive, including marketing support.

Separately, the director of the National Center for Marketing focused on preparations for the largest exhibition project - the World Expo-2020 exhibition in Dubai (UAE), in which our country will take part from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021. He recalled that the concept of the Belarusian pavilion “three I's” is “Innovation. Investments. Individual ”, where in the zone of “Innovations” the latest developments in the field of science and technology will be demonstrated. For example, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will present a new generation bioprinter capable of reproducing living cells using 4D printing. In addition to traditional participants, such as the SCST and the NAS of Belarus, 8 resident companies of the High-Tech Park will be represented with innovative projects in the field of medicine, agriculture, as well as developments in the field of artificial intelligence. Valery Sadoho also shared with the press other distinctive features of the National Pavilion of the Republic of Belarus.

The speaker also said that the National Center for Marketing approved the schedule of foreign exhibitions for 2020, corresponding to the fulfillment of the tasks set by the Government of the Republic of Belarus to enter new sales markets, develop and diversify exports.

The event, in particular, was attended by the leadership of Belinterexpo and the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Studies of the NAS of Belarus.
