The grand opening of the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus was held in Shanghai
On November 6, 2018 the grand opening of the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus at the First China International Import Expo was held at the National Exhibition Centre of Shanghai (People's Republic of China).
The opening ceremony was attended by Head of the Belarusian delegation Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Nikolai Snopkov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China Mr. Kirill Rudy, Director of the National Centre for Marketing Mr. Valery Sadokho, Gansu Provincial Governor Mr. Tang Zhentszyan became the guest of honor fr om the Chinese side.
«The First China International Import Expo confirms once again that China is open to the world and artificial barriers have no future. Our aim today is to clearly demonstrate once again how Belarus is open to China» — Nikolay Snopkov noted in the welcome speech.
The honored folklore group of the Republic of Belarus «Kupalinka» took part in the opening ceremony of the National Exposition.
On the first day of the exhibition Belarusian stands had many visitors. Chinese businessmen are showing increased interest in the Belarusian agricultural machinery, meat, dairy and confectionery products.
On November 7 the Belarusian-Chinese business forum will be held as part of the exhibition at National Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai.
China International Import Expo is The First China International Exhibition of Imported Goods and Services which takes place from 5 to 10 November 2018 in Shanghai (China) in the largest exhibition complex in the world with a total building area of about 1.5 million square meters. More than 2 800 companies from 130 countries take part in the event.
The Republic of Belarus presents its export potential in two thematic areas. The National Stand of the Republic of Belarus is represented in the area of country pavilions on a total area of 136 square meters wh ere visitors can see the trade, economic, investment, scientific, technical, historical and cultural potential of Belarus. Belarusian goods and services are demonstrated at industry stands in six commercial pavilions in the area of enterprises and businesses. The total exhibition area of the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus is 778 square meters. All Belarusian stands are presented under the brand «Made in Belarus». The National Centre for Marketing is the organizer of the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
