Prospects for cooperation in the IT sphere were discussed at a meeting with the Croatian business delegation
On October 7, a delegation of Croatian business circles led by ex-president Stepan Mesic visited the National Center for Marketing of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry to discuss bilateral cooperation in the IT field.
The meeting was initiated by the Croatian side, which was presented, among others, by Ante Jurisic, the Chairman of the Board, CEO of Sedam IT, and Davor Moshkatelo, business consultant of Sedam IT.
On the Belarusian side, the participants were Alexander Ponomarev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina; Valery Sadokho, Director of the National Center for Marketing; heads of IT companies of Bank Center Technologies OJSC and Novakom Group LLC.
“If we broadly characterize the Belarusian-Croatian economic relations, then last year the trade turnover between our countries, which is fairly balanced, amounted to $22.5 million. Eight Croatian-owned enterprises operate in Belarus today, and five Croatian companies have opened representative offices, - noted Valery Sadokho, the Director of the National Center for Marketing. “Today’s meeting should contribute to the further development of Belarusian-Croatian business relations, let's hope that as a result there will be even more such companies.”
The presentation of the National Center for Marketing took place. Croatian guests expressed interest in organizing business meetings and forums, as well as comprehensive support in finding business partners in Belarus. “I am very impressed with the example that I saw in Belarus in the field of high technologies. This is a good illustration not only for Europe, but for the whole world. We have something to learn from you, and I would very much like Croatian companies to cooperate with Belarusian companies,” - noted Stepan Mesich.
There was a discussion of approaches to the digitalization of mail services and contact centers, the introduction of secure payment systems on the Internet, security in the network space, followed by the decision to register Sedam IT in the High-Tech Park.
An agreement was reached on a more detailed study of the competencies of IT resources of both parties for further interaction and expansion of cooperation in this area.
Stepan Mesich left an entry in the Book of Honored Guests of the National Center for Marketing.
