A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Belarusian and Indonesian parties within the framework of a videoconference on the machine-building industry
On February 3, a Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Support in the Development of Trade and Economic Relations was signed between the National Marketing Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Indonesia Trade, Tourism and Investment Club (ITTIC) within the framework of the 4th Belarusian-Indonesian videoconference. The event was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Indonesia and is dedicated to the development of cooperation between countries in the field of mechanical engineering.
“Indonesia is a very important partner of Belarus in the South Asia region. Demonstrating sustainable rates of economic development, this country is among the top 20 largest economies in the world. In addition, Indonesia occupies one of the leading positions in terms of the volume of the domestic market with a population of over 275 million people. This is a country with a developed industry, and we already have experience in supplying Belaz trucks and other equipment to this market. And our task is to expand our economic presence in this region, - explains the director of the National Marketing Center Valery Sadokho. - In addition, the headquarters of ASEAN is located in Indonesia, which unites 10 countries of Southeast Asia. This agreement will open up the opportunity to activate contracts on a legal basis, exchange information on bilateral export-import supplies and deepen cooperation between our countries. "
During the videoconference, the Indonesian partners got acquainted with the capabilities of leading Belarusian machine-building companies and their representative offices in Southeast Asia, such as AMKODOR JSC, BELAZIA PTE.LTD (representative office of BELAZ JSC), LLC JV MAZ Asia (representative office of MAZ JSC) and Beltyre Asia Pte. Ltd. JSC (Belshina representative office). From the Belarusian side, the participation in the event was also attended by OJSC Managing Company of the Belkommunmash Holding and Mogilevliftmash OJSC.
Experts in the development of the mining industry in Indonesia spoke about the high demand for high-quality mining, specialized equipment and the willingness of industry companies to dialogue with Belarusian partners.
