Seminar for members of the foreign diplomatic missions took place in the National Centre for Marketing
On December 17, 2018 the National Centre for Marketing together with the law company “REVERA” held a seminar “Business environment in Belarus: results of 2018, prospects of 2019”. The main aim of the seminar has become the introduction to the opportunities and conditions of doing business in our country. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulations and Trade of Belarus, trade Councellors of the Embassies of more than 10 CIS and EU countries to Belarus including Germany, Poland, Czech, Georgia, and France participated into seminar.
In the welcoming speech Dr.Valery Sadokha, the Director of the National Centre for Marketing, pointed out that these seminars were very important as the companies interested in getting access to the Belarusian market should know the local tax, investment, customs legislation. “Today we observe an increase of foreign delegations visiting Belarus. It means that the interest to our country is growing. The National Centre for Marketing is ready to provide an active assistance to the development of trade and economic cooperation of Belarus and foreign countries and through hosting this sort of events.” – concluded Dr.Sadokho.
Mr. Roman Lipai, First Secretary of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity of the MFA of Belarus, informed about a new way of documents submission for registration of the representative office of a foreign organizations to Belarus. “Now it is nearby to the applicant. There is no need to come from Grodno, for example, or Brest to Minsk for the representative office registration. Now you may pile the documents through the local regional executive committees.” – he pointed out. The speakers informed about main articles of Decree №7 “On Entrepreneurship Promotion”, simplification of trade with Belarusian companies, new edition of the Law “On counteraction to monopolistic activity and development of competition”, new opportunities for IT companies and also on a more discussed law drafts and many others.
Mr.Denis Bogdanov, the Associated Partner of the law company “REVERA”, called leaving 2018 the year of positive changes in legislation aimed at simplification of doing business in Belarus.
