A meeting of the Organizing Committee of EXPO 2020 with the organizers of the Belarusian pavilion was held in Minsk

On July 29, 2019, representatives of the Organizing Committee of EXPO 2020 met in Minsk with the General Commissioner of the section of the Republic of Belarus at the World Exhibition, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Yeudachenka. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the National Centre for Marketing Valery Sadokho, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Dubai Igor Bondarev, representatives of the general contracting organization for the construction of the pavilion of the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the process of preparing the participation of Belarus at EXPO 2020, content of the National Pavilion, as well as organizing and conducting cultural and business events as part of the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus were discussed.

Representatives of the organizing committee of EXPO 2020 noted that Belarus is in the TOP 15 of the participating countries, which comply with all the deadlines for the preparation of the country's participation in the exhibition. In October this year, the construction of the Belarusian pavilion will begin, and in July 2020 all the necessary preparatory work will be completed.

The National Centre for Marketing also hosted a meeting of the Expo 2020 Organizing Committee with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian enterprises and organizations actively involved in preparing the National Pavilion for the exhibition. During the meeting, organizational and technical issues were discussed, as well as the possibilities of EXPO for establishing business contacts with partners from around the world.

For reference: The World Exhibition EXPO-2020 will be held from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021 in Dubai (UAE). The operator of the National Exposition of our country is the National Centre for Marketing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. 190 countries have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition. Organizers expect more than 25 million visitors.
