Belarus-Poland seminar on management of waste collection took place in Minsk

On May 30, a Belarus-Poland seminar on the collection of production and consumption wastes, their processing and use was held in Minsk. It was organized by the National Centre for Marketing. Within the framework of the event, participants exchanged experience of Poland and Belarus, discussed opportunities for cooperation.

«Environmental strategies on the disposal of waste, landfills, which are developed in Poland, fully explain all areas of responsibility for environmental safety, successfully regulate the organization of collection of production and consumption waste and meet the high requirements of the European Union. And this legal experience can be successfully used in Belarus to develop and improve the legislative framework in this area,» said Valery Sadokho, the Director of the National Centre for Marketing.

«Our event brought together representatives of the public sector, experts and private entrepreneurs of Poland and other countries in order to unite the commercial and public components of this issue. Our task is to ensure that waste treatment services at minimum cost bring the maximum benefit to society,» stressed the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Belarus, Martin Wojciechowski.

After listening to the speeches of experts from Belarus, Poland and Ukraine, participants of the event took part in B2B negotiations.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Belarus and the association «Belekoresursy» were co-organizers of the event.
