The representatives of the National Centre for Marketing and Price Study (NCMPS) took part in the international economic forum "Slovak Days in Grodno"

The economic forum "Slovak Days in Grodno" was held in Grodno on May 31, 2018.

The Forum was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Belarus and Slovakia, business circles and government agencies of the two countries. A business matchmaking session was organized in the framework of the Forum, where entrepreneurs from both countries discussed trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Slovak Republic in the fields of information technology, energy, pharmaceuticals, light industry, production and processing of goods, aviation.

The Director of the branch of the NCMPS in Grodno Elena Voytko made a presentation on the development of bilateral cooperation between Belarusian and Slovak companies, highlighted the development of the Slovak market, its trends and issues of conducting a successful business in this country. During the presentation the Director of the branch also presented the opportunities of NCMPS in supporting Belarusian exporters in entering the market of the Slovak Republic.

Background information: Slovakia is a country with a dynamically developing economy. It is a member of the European Union since 2004. In 2017 trade between Belarus and Slovakia amounted to USD 160 million. Geographical proximity, cultural similarities and tolerance of Slovaks to Belarus make Slovakia attractive for Belarusian companies.
