New dates for the Expo 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai approved
The National Marketing Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs of the postponement of the World Expo 2020 exhibition in Dubai for one year. This decision was made by the General Assembly of the International Bureau of Exhibitions in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, the world exhibition forum will be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, while retaining the former official name - “EXPO 2020 Dubai”.
The decision to change the date of the world exhibition was made on the basis of remote voting, which was attended by 113 of the 117 member states of the organization that have the right to vote: 113 countries voted for the postponement, and there were no abstentions. The Republic of Belarus also supported the initiative of the UAE government to postpone the exhibition.
The National Marketing Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus is the operator of the National Pavilion of our country at EXPO 2020 Dubai.
