Industry videoconference on export of agricultural products to China was held at the National Marketing Center

On March 27, the industry video conference "Export of Agricultural Products to the PRC" took place at the National Marketing Center of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is the second event from a series of online video conferences with the participation of foreign agencies of the Republic of Belarus on the diversification of sales markets and the certification of enterprises for the right to supply agricultural products and food products to markets of foreign countries.

The event was attended by employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the People’s Republic of China, the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, experts of the National Marketing Center.

In the format of a videoconference, heads and specialists of foreign economic and marketing services interested in deliveries of food to China were given the opportunity to ask experts questions. Participants were able to obtain up-to-date information on the conditions for conducting foreign trade in China. A discussion was held on the diversification of sales markets and the certification of enterprises for the right to supply agricultural products and food products to the PRC market for Belarusian exporting enterprises. The main problems associated with the export of Belarusian agricultural products to China, as well as ways to solve them, were identified.

In particular, they discussed the possibility of supplying canned meat, baby food and flour, as well as the algorithm for applying for veterinary certification and the right to supply meat products to the Chinese market.

Director of the National Marketing Center Valery Sadokho turned to the Embassy with a proposal to develop an algorithm for promoting meat products on the Chinese market and post it on Export.by, as a platform that consolidates a large number of export-oriented enterprises and promotes Belarusian export in general.

Branches of the National Marketing Center located in all regional centers of our country were also able to connect to the online format.
