Valery Sadokho awarded the anniversary medal “100 years of the diplomatic service of Belarus”
The Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Belarus celebrates its 100th anniversary. This is an important historical milestone for our country. For the high professionalism and great achievements in the diplomatic field, for promoting the increasing role of our state in the world arena, the director of the National Center for Marketing Valery Sadokho was awarded the anniversary medal “100 years of the diplomatic service of Belarus”.
Since 1991, Valery Sadokho worked in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, created systems of non-tariff regulation and export control.
In 1993 - 1997 - First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Poland.
Since 1997, holding the posts of Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Belarus and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Valery Sadokho has been focused on the development of trade, economic and political cooperation of Belarus with foreign partners.
In 2000 - 2002 he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. During this time, he achieved the creation of an inter-parliamentary group for cooperation with Belarus, initiated a number of trade missions, which made it possible to increase Belarusian exports to the UK by almost 5 times, and increase British investment in Belarus by 3 times.
In 2002 - 2004 - Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2004 - 2009 he worked as an adviser-envoy, head of the trading service of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation. Over the period, Belarusian exports have more than doubled.
In 2009 - 2011 - Director of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Organized work on the development of a system of measures to support export, accession to the WTO, and harmonization of trade regimes. He was directly involved in the negotiations on the formation of the CES, the creation of a free trade regime with the EEST, Serbia, New Zealand.
In 2011 - 2016, Valery Sadoho was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (the Kingdom of Thailand, Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Myanmar concurrently). With his direct assistance, a Belarusian-Vietnamese enterprise for the assembly of MAZs was created, an inter-parliamentary Belarus-Vietnam friendship group was created. For the first time in history, a series of high-level visits were made to Myanmar, Thailand, and the President of Laos to Belarus. The active work of the Ambassador in Vietnam made it possible to achieve a visa-free travel regime for Belarusians to Vietnam.
