Workshop on export promotion of Belarusian enterprises was held in Vitebsk
On October 3, 2018 representatives of the National Centre for Marketing have held a workshop for enterprises and organizations in Vitebsk «Effective tools for export promotion of Belarusian Enterprises. Provision of procurement of goods, works and services in the Republic of Belarus and abroad».
The event was held at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. More than 130 persons took part in it – managers and specialists of the departments of marketing and advertising, foreign economic activity, procurement, sales and marketing of enterprises of the Vitebsk region, including small and medium-sized businesses. In particular, it were State Company «Vitebsk Enterprise «Meat & Milk Goods Production», Verkhnerdvinsk cheese and butter making plant, JSC Vitebskdrev, Orsha industrial trading company «Svitanak», JSC Postavymebel, OJSC Orsha Cheese Factory, Confectionery factory «Vitba», OJSC Znamya Industrializacii, Glubokoe dairy-canning factory, JSC Milk, JSC Vitebsk Carpets and others.
The chairman of the economy committee of the Vitebsk regional executive committee Angelica Nikitina noted in her address to the participants that the region faces serious challenges in export development and she expressed hope that the outcome of the event would be an increase in deliveries to foreign markets.
The Director of the National Centre for Marketing Valery Sadokho said that the event was held upon the instructions from Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide information and organizational support to Belarusian enterprises in the development of foreign economic activity. «Export is an important part of company activity. And today it is not enough to produce and sell, it is necessary to constantly monitor changes in the market and meet the new conditions», — clarified Valery Sadokho. In particular he drew attention to the prospects of WTO accession for Belarus and noted that industrial and construction enterprises will have to restructure their work, and as for the processing industry, including the food industry, enterprises will be able to get some benefits from the accession.
Representatives of the National Centre for Marketing told about the specifics of marketing research, finding customers and business partners, effective participation in exhibitions. They also talked about the development of the correct advertising messages with the help of printing products and the possibilities of using websites to promote Belarusian goods to foreign markets — using the example of websites of exporters and working with the Export.by portal. A separate topic was participation in foreign purchases and tenders.
In addition a series of free online seminars for enterprises and organizations with the participation of Belarusian embassies abroad was announced. The schedule of these events will be available soon on the website www.ncm.by.
The participants of the workshop were able to ask questions and get detailed information on the activities of the National Centre for Marketing. Business events in this format are planned to be held in other regional centres of Belarus.
